What is D-Pay?
“D-Pay” (direct pay) is a new direct payment environment that allow participating banks' customers to perform transactions on the AXS Stations.
What are the cards that are accepted?
Customers of DBS Bank, POSB, Citibank, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered and UOB are able to use their ATM card and PIN to effect payment on selected AXS Stations.
What does the customer need to do to perform a transaction?
To perform a transaction, the steps are similar to that of any ATM transactions. Customers only need to insert their ATM card when prompted and key in the corresponding PIN. Upon successful transaction, a receipt will be generated.
Do customers need to change their ATM card?
Customers can use their existing ATM cards for payments via D-Pay. No change of card is required.
How many AXS Stations accepts this new mode of payment?
Currently, there are about over 230 AXS Station accepting the new payment mode. For the location details, click here.
We will be progressively converting the rest of the AXS Stations to accept this new payment mode.
Is NETS/CASHCARD still acceptable at AXS Station?
Currently, we will have more than 400 AXS Stations that accept NETS/CashCard. These remaining AXS Stations will be converted to accept the new payment mode progressively.
What is the difference between D-Pay enabled AXS Station & the usual AXS Station, how do you differentiate? What should users look out for?
The most noticeable difference that the consumers will see would be the change in the pin pad. It will be changed from the current metallic look to a black colored one.
AXS Stations that accept this new payment mode will also carry prominent red colored stickers which frames the touch screen, keyboard and on the pin pad. There will also be a black colored front slot sticker that indicates the ATM cards that are being accepted on the AXS Station.
In terms of service and application on AXS Station, will there be any difference?
No, there will be no changes to the services and applications available on AXS Station. In fact, we are always working towards bringing a wider array of e-services and applications to our users.
Why is the pin pad changed on AXS Station? Is it still usable?
The pin pad has been upgraded to facilitate the new payment mode on AXS Station. This new pin pad is secured and has faster response rate. Thus customers will be able to experience a faster transaction time.
Will there be any change in the daily transaction limit of my ATM card?
No, there will not be any change. The daily transaction limit imposed on your ATM card by the bank is still applicable.
What other benefits will D-Pay bring to consumers?
By using the latest payment technologies, the new payment environment shortens the time taken to process a transaction. We believe that this increased efficiency will be embraced by consumers since it require a shorter waiting time.
Moreover, with the direct connectivity established with the banks, customers can look forward to new functions and features, such as eDDA (electronic Direct Debit Authorisation), that is available now.
I noticed an option "Credit Line" under the "Select Account Type" screen.
What is "Credit Line" for? "Credit Line" is a new option under D-Pay for customers to tap onto their personal line of credit to make payments on D-Pay enabled AXS Stations. DBS is the first bank to offer customers the convenience of making payment using their Cashline account by selecting this "Credit Line" option.
I notice that the card reader is different. Did AXS change the card reader?
Yes, AXS is in the progress of changing the card readers. The new card reader is a manual card reader, which requires user to insert and remove the card swiftly. The new card reader will minimise card stuck issue and have a better card reading accuracy.
Which are the stations that will be affected by the new card reader?
All D-Pay enabled AXS Stations has been retro-fitted with the new card reader.
How will I know whether the AXS Station I have been using has been changed to the new card reader?
For stations that are using the new card reader, you will notice a change in the front slot sticker, displaying the new card reader and the instructions. Please refer to the visual below.

How do I use the new card reader?
To use the new card reader, follow the instructions on the screen and when prompted, simply insert and remove the card swiftly.
